LED Light Therapy

July 28, 2026 admin

Did you know that Light therapy (also known as heliotherapy) dates back to the days of the Ancient Greeks and is known to have health benefits. In fact, many ancient cultures practiced different forms of light therapy in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome as well. It is the application of light energy to the skin for healing benefits.  Exposure to natural daylight or light using lasers or instruments used by dermatologists, estheticians, and plastic surgeons, can treat sleep disorders and some psychiatric disorders. Light therapy can treat and heal acne, eczema and other common skin disorders. One of the main benefits of light therapy and the exposure to light is the skin’s production of vitamin D.

Here at DePiano Skin, light therapy is used to heal the skin of impurities, regenerate sin cells and promote healing using specific light frequencies. LED (Light Emitting Diodes) have the ability to produce the same light frequencies that a laser can produce without damaging any tissue. LED light therapy is an FDA approved cosmetic procedure that is painless, safe, and effective. The treatment are non-invasive, non-abrasive and uses no heat of any kind.

LED light therapy is showing effective results for treating aging skin, rosacea, acne and other skin conditions. There is no pain and no downtime! This is a procedure that I use on most of my clients and in most of the facials I give because I see a successful results.

LED LIGHT THERAPY IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
You should not seek treatments in Light Therapy if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, thyroid conditions, or if you are photo-allergic and taking medications that cause light sensitivity.
